Visitation
for R. Susan Aaker, 55, of Bradley, will be from 4-8 pm
Wednesday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral
Homes were services will be held at 11 am Thursday.
The Rev. Don Long will officiate.
Burial
will be in Aroma Park Cemetery.
Memorials
may be made to the Aroma Park Fire Department, Hospitce of
Kankakee Valley, or to the Riverside Care Van.
Mrs.
Aaker died Saturday (Feb. 12, 2000) at Provena Out Lady of
Victory Nursing Home, Bourbonnais.
She
was born June 29, 1944, in Kankakee, the daughter of William
and Nellie Neuman Flowers.
Her father is deceased. Her
husband, Marty Aaker, whom she married in Sept. 1988, died
in March 1995.
Surviving
are one son and daughter-in-law, Raymon and Kathleen Edwards
of Bourbonnais; one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jim
Daily of Bradley; two step-sons, James Aaker of Persacola,
Fla., and Thomas Aaker of Rockfofrd; two step-daughters,
Mary and Kenneth Demaegd of Lake Villa, and Paula and Robert
Franklin of St. Anne; three brothers and sisters-in-law,
Ernest and Patricia Flowers of Kankakee, Stanley and Jane
Flowers of Buffalo,
Minn., Dennis and Mary Jo Flowers of Springstead, Wis.; and
11 grand children.
Mrs.
Aaker had worked at Riverside Medical Center and then at
Provena St. Mary’s Hospital as a receptionist.
She
was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Kankakee.
