Paulette Ankerstar 1944-2014

    Paulette Ankerstar, 70, formerly of Aurora, recently passed away among family. Survived by daughter, Christina; grandchildren, Sonya, Audra, Blake; sister, Karen DuMontelle; niece, Lisa Tietje; daughter-in-law, Margo Robles; ex-husband, Patrick West and extended family. Preceded in death by her parents and her truly beloved son Derek.

    Paulette was an intelligent, private, practical person of integrity. She enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. An avid reader, her vocabulary was so extensive that we accused her of making up words. She was also a talented painter. Paulette was a devoted mother with a knack for sewing dance and Halloween costumes and delivering the comfort of homemade banana bread at just the right times. She will be missed.

    We will gather to remember Paulette at Christina's home in Western Springs on Sunday, October 5th, 1:00-4:00p.m. In lieu of flowers/food/material gifts of any kind, please donate to The Compassionate Friends, an organization that Paulette greatly appreciated.
