Melvin
Jerry Tomblin died May 15, 2022, in Monee, Illinois.
He
was born February 18, 1944, in Bonfield, Illinois, to
Melvin and Lene Tomblin. He had a brother, Jackie
Lee Tomblin, born in 1940, and a sister, Jocelyn Marie
Tomblin, born in 1946.
Jerry
graduated from Kankakee High School in 1962. He
served as a Seaman in the US Navy during the Vietnam
War. He married Paula Jean Luhman on December 4,
1965, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kankakee.
Paula died in 2008.
They
had two sons, Dale Allan Tomblin of Port Charlotte, Florida,
and Daniel Roger Tomblin of Park Forest.
Jerry
and Paula were buried at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery,
Elwood, Illinois.
