Judy Hebert


    Judy Kohl, 70, of Bourbonnais, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 14, 2014) at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1944, in Kankakee, the daughter of Robert and Viola Allain Hebert. Her father preceded her in death.
    Judy married Thomas J. Kohl on Nov. 9, 1963, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Kankakee. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee and the Kankakee County Health Department. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, enjoyed cross stitching and playing games with her grandchildren.
    Surviving are her husband, of Bourbonnais; her mother, Viola Hebert Starmann, of Wilmington; son, William Kohl, of Bradley; daughter, Deborah and Todd Groth, of Bourbonnais; brother, David and Kathy Hebert, of Plainfield; three grandchildren, Lauren (Taylor) Oxner, Garret Kohl and Michael Groth.
    Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. Saturday until the 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Kankakee, with the Rev. Mario Quejadas and the Rev. Dennis Settles officiating. Inurnment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or American Parkinson's Disease Association.
