Joseph Schaller 1944-2015
Joseph was born February 2, 1944, in Kankakee. He died
March 15, 2015, in San Francisco, California.
Joseph was an iconoclast who loved Potrero Hill, where he lived
since 1988. He was actively involved in the Potrero Hill
Garden Club, and showed his photography at the Potrero Hill
Artists’ Exhibition and at Klein’s Deli. He is survived by
his wife, Audrey Cole and his two brothers. He will be
deeply missed.
Joseph was the oldest son of Matthew Schaller and Teresa Conrad
Schaller.
He did many jobs during his lifetime. Some of his
accomplishments were: A Professor of Psychology and
Developmental Psychology at the University of Wisconsin,
Madison. He was involved in the Infant Color Vision Project,
Madison, WI. He was the founding member of Women's Counseling
Service, Madison, WI. He was a licensed Clinical Psychologist
both in Wisconsin and California and a founding member of
Macintosh Consultants Network.
His academic background included Ph.D. and M.S in Developmental
Psychology, Statistics, Michigan State University, Ph.D. in
Clinical Psychology, University of Wisconsin, Madison.
He was survived by his life partner of Audrey Cole.
