Joseph C. LaMontagne Jr., a resident of Longmont, Colo., died Monday, Feb. 23, at Longmont United Hospital, Longmont, Colo. A service will be 6:30 p.m. today at Clancy Brothers Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, with the Rev. Mark Peters officiating. A service was conducted Friday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, Longmont, Colo., with the Rev. Glenn Isemhagen of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. LaMontagne was bom Aug. 20, 1944, in Kankakee. He taught business education at Custer Park High School and at Richmond-Burton High School until 1971. After moving to Longmont he was employed by Wheelers, formerly Big R, and Sheeley Motors; joined Country General as assistant manager; and was a life member of Longmont Moose Lodge 1548. He is survived by his wife, Leslie (nee Reynolds); a daughter, Bridget LaMontagne of Fort Collins, Colo.; a son, Kevin of Turlock, Calif.; his father, Joseph LaMontagne Sr. of Kankakee; and two sisters, Martha (David) Bums of Kankakee and Elizabeth (Donald) iCarmain of Bradley.
