Gerald Benjamin 1943-2000

When Gerald 'Whitey' Benjamin was born on February 11, 1943, in Kankakee, Illinois, his father, Clarence, was 37 and his mother, Adele, was 30. He graduated from Kankakee High School in 1962 and served as a corporal in the Marine Corps during the Viet Nam war.

He married Alice Donley on May 13, 1966, and they had one son and one daughter.  He died on May 21, 2000, in Olympia Fields, Illinois, at the age of 57, and was buried in The All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.
