Dennis Ray Miller 1944-2021

Dennis Ray Miller, 76, of Bradley, IL passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

He was born November 15, 1944 in Kankakee, IL. The loving son of Laverne and Lucille Cousin Miller. Denny married, Lynne M. Osterhoff on April 5, 1969 in Kankakee, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law; Damon and Mindy Miller of Bradley, IL, one daughter and son-in-law; Lori and Billy Wicker of Bradley, IL. two sisters; Marsha Gersky of FL and Phyllis Billadeau of Kankakee, IL, one brother; Dick Miller of IL., four grandchildren; Justine (Jeff) Olson of Herscher, Axle Wicker of Kankakee, IL, Zane Miller of Bradley and Carlie Miller of Bradley, IL. Two great grandchildren; Jalynne Olson and Jevin Olson. His best friend Mike Pitts of Bradley, IL plus many nieces and nephews.

Proceeding Denny in death are his parents, a son; Derek Miller, a brother; Bill Miller and a sister; Marilyn Schultz.

Denny had been enjoying his retirement from being a mechanic, although he was always still tinkering with cars at his shop, Miller Motorsports, which was right next door to his house until his illness. He just loved everything about cars, also dirt racing and was a driver at the Kankakee Speedway. But most of all loved playing and being around his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL

Cremation rites will be accorded. Jensen Funeral Home in Kankakee, IL is handling the arrangements.
