Dennis Lee Kent 1944-2008

Visitation for Dennis L. Kent, 63, of Kankakee, will be from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, West Kankakee. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where he was a member. The Rev. William Conjelko will officiate.

Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Township. Memorials may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. He died Saturday (Jan. 12, 2008) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.

He was born Oct. 12, 1944, in Kankakee, the son of Howard and Bethel Buza Kent. He was an avid student of religion, government and politics.

Surviving are his mother of Kankakee; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Robert Howell of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Virginia Kent of Wheaton; one niece and five nephews.

His father is deceased.
