David Smith 1944-2022

    David M. Smith, 77, of Kankakee passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Prairieview Lutheran Homes in Danforth, Illinois. 

    He was born on December 10, 1944 in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of John and Francis (Beland) Smith. On August 21, 1969, he married Sharon F. Siedentop in Kankakee, Illinois. He was a retired tool and die maker. 

    David is survived by his sons, Dean R. (Rebecca) Smith of Atlanta, Georgia and Harold W. (Lorie) Morine of Bardstown, Kentucky; his daughter, Renee Ragle (John) Williams of Kankakee, Illinois; his sister, Carolee Ragle of Bradley, Illinois; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. 

    He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Smith; his parents, John and Francis Smith; his sister, Camille Smith; his brother, Dennis Smith; and brother-in-law, Ronald Ragle.
