Casey Joseph Jones Jr. 1944-1997

Casey Joseph Jones Jr., 53, of Berkeley, Calif. and native Kankakeean, died Aug. 13, 1997, in Berkeley.

Graveside services will be at Mound Grove Gardens, Kankakee.

He was born April 5, 1944, in Kankakee, the son of Casey and Christine Vaught Jones Sr. His mother is deceased. His father and step-mother, Casey and Anita Jones, of Kankakee, survive.

Also surviving are sons, Matt and Doc of Berkeley, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Nel and Bernard Hawkins of West Virginia; one sister of Kankakee; one brother of Kankakee; two grandchildren; seven aunts; and three uncles.

One daughter, several uncles and aunts, are deceased.

A 1962 graduate of Kankakee High School, he attended the University of Illinois and was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.

He enjoyed sports and fishing.
